Guha resigns as BCCI Administrator

Historian Ramachandra Guha, one of the administrators of the BCCI, has resigned from the post. Sources said that he had tendered his resignation citing personal reasons on Sunday last.

Guha informed Supreme Court, this morning that he had tendered his resignation to Vinod Rai, the Chairman of the Committee of Administrators appointed by the Apex Court, While, the Supreme Court has him to file a plea in registry which would later be taken up in July.

The Supreme Court had named former Comptroller and Auditor General of India Vinod Rai, eminent historian Ramachandra Guha, financial executive Vikram Limaye and former captain of the Indian women’s cricket team Diana Edulji as administrators who were expected to look after the day-to-day functioning of the BCCI and ensure the smooth implementation of the Lodha panel’s proposals.
