Bags Bronze at 17th National Junior Athletics Meet

Maurya Ganapathi, a Class 10 student of Bhagya Jyothi School, Raghavendranagar, won Bronze Medal in the Shot-Put U-16 category in the 17th MILO National Inter-District Junior Athletic Meet 2019 being held at Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh. He threw his all time best of 17.21 mts.

Kunal (Haryana) and Jaidev (Delhi) topped the event. Incidentally, all three medallists created new National Records.

Maurya Ganapathi’s performance has also bettered the Karnataka State record.

A native of Coorg and son of Balyanda Vijay and Machaiah, Supdt., GST, Maurya Ganapathi is coached by M.C. Mohan Kumar at Chamundi Vihar Stadium.
