Bags Overall Championship

JSS High School, Suttur, Nanjangud taluk here, has bagged the Overall Championship in the JSS Inter-Institutional Sports Meet held in memory of Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Swamiji at Suttur recently, by winning more number of prizes in various categories.


Boys section: Kareppa – 1st prize in 400 mts and 2nd in 200 mts running race; Anuj Kumar – 3rd in 200 mts and 100 mts running; Janmanjay – 2nd in 400 mts race; Ravish – 3rd in 1,500 mts race; Prashanth – 3rd in discuss-throw and 2nd in javelin-throw; Maunesh – 1st in javelin-throw; Revannasidda – 3rd in high-jump and 1st in 4×100 mts relay; Team Games: 1st in kho-kho and volleyball events; While Danesh was adjudged the Best Volleyball Player, Prashanth was declared the Best Kho-Kho Player.

Girls section: Kavana – 2nd in 100 mts running; Deepa – 2nd in 200 mts race; Pavithra – 3rd in 800 mts race; Malayamsena – 1st in javelin-throw and long-jump and 2nd in discuss-throw; Lakshmi – 2nd in 4×100 mts relay; Team Games: 1st in kho-kho and throwball events; Deepa was adjudged ‘Best Kho-Kho Player,’ according to a press release.
