Dr. D.C. Umesha, Head, Department of Chemistry, Sarada Vilas PU College, Mysuru, was conferred with ‘Research Excellence Award-2021’ by Institute of Scholars for his paper titled ‘Synthesis and Evaluation of Biological Activity of Nitrogen and Oxygen Containing Heterocyclic Analogues of Podophyllotoxin’ published in International Journal of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences. A native of Dabbeghatta in K.R. Pet taluk of Mandya district, Dr. Umesha is the son of late Chikkachar and late Seethalakshmamma.
