Mysore/Mysuru: Bahuroopi, the annual National Theatre Festival organised by Rangayana, Mysuru, will be held from Mar. 11 to 20 with the theme ‘Thayi’ (Motherhood) this year.
As part of the theatre festival, Rangayana has organised a seminar on Mar. 19 and Extempore Competition on the topic ‘Which of the two — Nature or Development, is better for mankind’ on Mar. 20 for degree students. Students may speak for or against the given topic. The competition is only for degree students from Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Hassan, Kodagu and Chikkmagalur.
Winners will be given certificates and cash prize of Rs. 15,000 (first prize), Rs. 10,000 (second) and Rs. 5,000 (third).
Interested students may obtain the applications from Rangayana website [http://www.rangaya na.org/]. The filled-in applications must be submitted before Mar. 10 at Rangayana Office.
Applicants who have already applied may not resubmit any applications, according to a press release from Rangayana Director Addanda C. Cariappa.
