January 10, 2020

Mysuru/Mysore: After a one-month delay, city’s theatre repertory Rangayana will be organising the much awaited ‘Bahuroopi’ National Theatre festival-2020, from Feb.14 to 19 in city.

Rangayana Director Addanda C. Cariappa, who took charge as the head of the Repertory on Dec. 31, 2019, attributed the delay in the appointment of the Director. Stating that discussions were going on to finalise the theme of the theatre fest,he said that the theme will be announced on Jan.14.

It may be recalled that Cariappa, soon after taking charge on Dec.31, held a meeting with Rangayana Joint Director V.S. Mallikarjunaswamy, ‘Bahuroopi’ Convenors and senior artists of Rangayana to discuss the modalities of the theatre festival, which is considered as one of the most important theatre event of the country.
