Ballachanda Binnie Nanaiah passes away at 85

Mysore/Mysuru: Ballachanda Muthavva Nanaiah (Binnie), wife of late B.A. Nanaiah, passed away yesterday (March 1, 2022) at 11.30 pm at her residence (Govardhan Apartments) in Lakshmipuram, Mysuru. She was 85.

Hailing from Chonira family in Kadangamaroor village, Kodagu, she is survived by her brother Ponoo Muthanna (owner of Pelican Pub), sister Kitty Mandanna, two sons — Santosh Cariappa and Sachin Devaiah — three daughters-in-law, six grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Her elder son and Ritz Hotel Proprietor Ballachanda Vivek Aiyanna had passed away on November 21, 2021 following a  heart attack.

Binnie Nanaiah was the Past Chairman of Inner Wheel District 318.

Cremation took place today at Harishchandra Ghat at the foot of Chamundi Hill at 2 pm.
