Bamboo hand railings for Hill steps?

Sir,

This refers to a reader requesting for hand railings for Chamundi Hill steps recently. In keeping with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), I would request the installation of bamboo hand railings for the steps.

It may be mentioned, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had suggested bamboo crash barriers for National Highways; so why can’t same quality strong bamboo be used for hand railings too which the greens will not object as it will gel with the reserve forest on both sides of hill steps?
