Foundation training for Home Guards

Mysore/Mysuru: Additional DC C. Shivaraj said that there is a demand for Home Guards in all Departments and hence they should make best use of the opportunity and serve the society.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Foundation training camp for Home Guards at DAR auditorium in Jyothinagar here on Thursday.

Pointing out that Home Guards, which is a voluntary organisation, has been working closely with the Police Department for decades, Shivaraj said that the services of Home Guards can be more seen in traffic control, fairs and festivals, law and order duties etc.

Calling upon the Home Guards to use what they learnt during training, in pressing situations and emergencies, he also asked them to give more importance for maintaining discipline and maintain good public relations.

District Commandant Dr. M. Kantharaju too spoke.

Assistant Administrative Officer M.N. Vishwanath, faculty Chandan and Manjunath, Camp Commandant Sampath Kumar, Unit Officer Revanna, Vidya and others were present.
