Bandipur, Nagarahole safaris to fully resume

Bengaluru, June 27 (KMS& BCT)- The Karnataka Government has decided to resume safari operations in Bandipur and Nagarahole Tiger Reserves fully. 

In a press statement, Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar (DKS) said that the decision was based on recommendations from experts and Forest Department officials following a detailed technical study.  

The Government has accepted the Committee’s report, which included a scientific assessment of the carrying capacity of both Tiger Reserves. 

With the Committee’s report endorsing the resumption of safari operations, the Government has given the green signal to reopen jungle safaris in the two protected areas. 

The Chief Minister said that Karnataka has immense potential for eco-tourism and that the State is committed to promoting sustainable tourism while ensuring the conservation of its rich wildlife and forest ecosystems.
