Bangara Naik (68), retired State Bank of India (SBI) employee and a resident of Anandanagar ‘B’ Block in city, passed away early this morning at his residence here.

He leaves behind his wife C.S. Venkatalakshmi, son Arun Naik, daughters Savitha Naik and Sowmya Naik and a host of relatives and friends.

Bangara Naik, who had served in SBI for nearly 36 years, had taken VRS in 2008.

He was the member of Valmiki Nayaka Association and a Director of State Bank of India Staff Brindavan Housing Co-operative Society, Bengaluru.

Last rites were performed at Thonachikoppal Burial Grounds here this afternoon, according to family sources.
