Bank Colony residents submit pre-Budget proposal to MCC

Mysuru: The Mysore Bank Colony Residents Cultural and Welfare Association submitted a list of priority works pending to be attended to  by Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) with estimated amounts for each work, in SBM Colony with a total sum of Rs.3.40 crore.

This was in response to a call from MCC requesting the residents of Mysuru to submit pre-budget proposals for finalising its budget 2019-20.

Submitting the proposals to the Mayor and MCC Commissioner,  the Secretary of the Association K.V.Ramanath said that the main aim of the report was to bring to the attention of the MCC certain major works which have remained incomplete for long, for want of funds.

This includes the storm water drains and the Rajakaluve works at Block No. 26 to 31 in SBM Colony, the lone road in SBM Colony in Block No.14 which remains unattended for quite a long time, although other roads are attended, construction of bus shelters at Amrutha Bakery bus stop etc. He requested the MCC to include these works in the ensuing budget so that the works could be completed early.

Arunkumar Shettar, President of the Association, requested the MCC to look for sponsors for construction of an e-toilet near the auto stand opposite to Amrutha Bakery under Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.

This is the only Residents Association that has come forward to submit the pre-budget proposals to assist the MCC in prioritising its works and funds provision in the new Budget for the year 2019-20, and it is hoped that the MCC provides funds as suggested and get the works executed, early, according to Secretary Ramanath in a press release.
