Bank employee ‘drinks’ to death

Mysuru: A MCDCC Bank employee, who was admitted to T. Narasipur hospital after he fell ill reportedly due to consumption of excessive alcohol, breathed his last in the hospital last evening.

The deceased has been identified as Revanna (43), a native of Alashri Katte Hundi in T. Narasipur taluk and a resident of Vidyanagar in city.

Revanna, a group ‘D’ employee at MCDCC Bank in the city was recently promoted as SDC. Revanna, who was reportedly upset over his ill health is said to have consumed excessive alcohol at his native village about 3 days ago and was unconscious.

He was rushed to T. Narasipur hospital, where he breathed his last on Friday evening, it is learnt.

T Narasipur Police have registered a case in this regard.
