Mysuru: A 43-year-old bar and restaurant owner committed suicide by hanging self at his house on Monday evening.

The deceased is Shivalingegowda, son of late Ningegowda and a resident of Anikethana Road in Kuvempunagar, who owned a bar and restaurant in city. He committed suicide by hanging self to the iron grill of the bathroom ventilator at his house.

It is learnt that heavy losses and huge financial debts forced Shivalingegowda to take the extreme step.

Kuvempunagar Inspector Varma and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, shifted the body to the mortuary and have registered a case.
