Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru Sharana Mandali, in association with Sri Nataraja Pratishtana, has organised Basava Jayanti ‘Basava Ratna’ Award Presentation Ceremony at Sri Nataraja auditorium, Sri Hosmutt, on May 23 at 10.30 am.

Dr. Sri Siddalingashivacharya Swamiji of  Suryasimhasana Mutt, Vatal Mutt, will grace the occasion. K.H. Muniyappa, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, will inaugurate the programme.

Dr. Helavarahundi Siddappa, President, District Sharana Sahitya Parishat, will preside. Dr. D. Thimmaiah, MLC, Maddikere Gopal,  President, District Kannada Sahitya Parishat and Prof. S. Shivarajappa, Special Officer, Sri Nataraja Pratishtana, Mysuru, will be the chief guests.

On the occasion, ‘Basava Ratna’ Award will be conferred on H.N. Premkumar, senior political leader and a social worker; D.V. Parashivamurthy, Vice-Chancellor, Hampi Kannada University; K.S. Sundar Raj, DCP (Crime & Traffic), Mysuru; Sardar N. Sachidananda Murthy, President of DAV School; Dr. S. Murali, Founder-President of Maharaja Education Trust (MET); Sudha Mruthyunjayappa, Managing Trustee of Dr. C.N. Mruthyunjayappa Trust and a social worker.
