Basavasri Award

Basava Kendra, Sri Jagadguru Murugharajendra Brihanmutt, Chitradurga, will be conferring Basavasri Award for the year 2019 on sarod maestro Pt. Rajeev Taranath at his residence, #154, 11th Main, opposite Javaregowda Park, Saraswathipuram, Mysuru, tomorrow (Nov. 10) at 4 pm. Dr. Sri Shivarathri Murugha Sharanaru will preside. ‘Pt. Rajeev Taranath Sarod Swarayaana’ edited by Ganesh Amingad and Raghupati Tamanhakar will be released on the occasion. District Minister S.T. Somashekar, Mysore University VC Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar and Mayor Sunanda Palanetra will be the chief guests.
