Basudeva Somani First Grade College (FGC), Mysuru, with 111 points in the men’s section and Post Graduate Sports Council (PGSC), Manasagangothri, Mysuru, in the women’s section with 100 points won the Overall Team Championship Title, on the concluding day of three-day 90th University of Mysore’s Inter-collegiate athletic meet 2018 at Sri Adichunchanagiri College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Nagamangala on Thursday.

Boby Sabu of Basudeva  Somani FGC won the Individual championship title in the men’s section with 958 points, while in the women’s section M.R. Dhanusha of Basudeva Somani FGC won the Individual championship title in the women’s section with 857 points.

Two meet records on final day

On the final day of the meet, two meet records were erased, one in the men’s and one in the women’s section. Boby Sabu of Basudeva Somani FGC created a new meet record in the men’s Long Jump with a leap of 7.17m erasing his own mark of 6.90m set in 2017-18.

M.R. Dhanusha of Basudeva Somani FGC created a new meet record in the women’s Long Jump event with a jump of 5.39m, erasing the old record of 5.28m set by J.J. Shashikala of Teresian College, Mysuru in 1997-98.
