Beef-eating: Protest continues in city

June 27, 2017

Mysuru: Strongly condemning open consumption of beef at an event at Kalamandira on Sunday, over 100 members of BJP  SC Morcha staged a demonstration at FTS Circle on Mysuru-Bengaluru Road here this morning to register their protest.

Pointing out that Kalamandira is the topmost cultural centre in city, the protesters claimed that the ‘so-called’ intellectuals had destroyed the sanctity of the centre by eating beef. The protesters raised slogans against Prof. Bhagawan, Prof. Mahesh Chandra Guru and others.

Deputy Mayor Rathna Lakshman, leaders Nataraj, Sampath, Murali, Giridhar, Anil Thomas and others participated in the protest.
