Beggar found dead

Mysore/Mysuru: An unidentified beggar has been found murdered with injuries on his head at the bus shelter near Metropole Hotel Circle in city this morning.

It is suspected that the murder may have taken place late last night and came to light this morning. The victim has been hit on the head with a weapon.

Lakshmipuram In-charge Inspector Prakash and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary.

DCPs Dr. A.N. Prakash Gowda and Geetha Prasanna also visited the spot and conducted preliminary enquiry besides summoning fingerprint experts and the dog squad to the spot. Though it is suspected that the murder was not for gain, the exact cause is yet to be ascertained.
