BEML Employees launch publicity campaign ahead of May 30 stir

May 27, 2017

Mysuru: Ahead of the May 30 stir in protest against BEML privatisation moves, employees of the public sector giant launched publicity campaign in the city on Friday.

The publicity campaign was held at Metropole Circle,  Railway Station, RMC, Ayurveda College, Sayyaji Rao Road, Nazarbad, KSRTC Sub-Urban Bus Stand, Ashoka Road, Devaraja Market and other prominent thoroughfares of the city. BEML Employees Association, strongly condemning the Centre’s moves to privatise the key Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), appealed the members of the public and the leaders to extend their support to the stir by voluntarily shutting shops and commercial establishments on May 30.

Association President N.K. Devdas said that a bike rally will be taken out from BEML main gate at 3 pm on Saturday.
