Bengaluru-based land developer’s valuables stolen at city hotel

Mysuru: Cash and gold ornaments of a Bengaluru-based land developer, who had come to city to celebrate New Year and stayed at Lalitha Mahal Hotel has been reportedly stolen from the room he was staying on Sunday night.

The person who lost his cash and gold has been identified as Rakesh. He along with his family had checked into Room No. 204 at Lalitha Mahal Hotel on Sunday.

On Sunday night, Rakesh who locked the room, went out to celebrate New Year and returned to the room at about 1.30 am. He kept his 30 grams gold bracelet and a bag containing Rs. 11,000 cash on the table and went to sleep.

When he woke up at about 7.45 am, he found his bracelet and the cash bag missing and later lodged a complaint at Alanahalli Police Station.

Alanahalli Police, who have registered a case are investigating.
