Bengaluru to host 17th All India  Conference of CITU from Jan. 18 to 22

Seminar in Mysuru tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: The Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) District General Secretary N.K. Balajirao has disclosed that the 17th All India Conference of CITU will be organised at Bangalore Palace Grounds from Jan. 18 to 22. A public meeting will also be held at National College Grounds in Bengaluru on Jan. 22, he added.

Speaking to press persons at Pathrakartara Bhavan on Thursday, he said: “The Conference will echo the sentiments of the people against the anti-people, anti-labour and anti-farmer policies of both Central and State Governments. About 2,000 registered members of CITU are participating and about 10,000 people from Mysuru district will be participating in the public meeting on Jan. 22.”

As part of the Conference, a seminar on ‘Karnataka Abhivriddhige Kaigarikegalu mattu Dudiyuva Janateya Koduge’ will be held on Jan. 8 at 11 am at Mysore City Co-operative Housing Society auditorium, Nala Beedi, K.R. Mohalla, Mysuru. CITU District President G. Jayaram will preside. CITU State Vice-President V.J.K. Nayar and Joint Labour Commissioner Dr. Ravikumar will address the gathering.

CITU District President G. Jayaram, Treasurer M. Annappa, office-bearer Dhananjay and others were present during the press meet.
