Mysuru:  Block Education Officer (BEO) South K.S. Prakash has been placed under suspension pending enquiry for negligence and dereliction of duty as per a suspension order served on the officer by the Under Secretary, Department of Education two days ago.

Ramappa, a Physical Education teacher at Bhagini Seva Samaja School in Krishnamurthypuram was reportedly booked for a sexual harassment case about two months ago and an FIR was also registered by Lakshmipuram Police.

However, Prakash is said to have failed to send a report to the government immediately but delayed it considerably which prompted his suspension.
