‘Beru-Benki-Bilalu’ autobiography of Kamala Hampana released

Mysuru: The District Kannada Sahitya Parishat and Sapna Book House together had organised a programme at the Institution of Engineers-India (IEI) on JLB Road here on Sunday to release the autobiography of Kamala Hampana titled ‘Beru-Benki-Bilalu.’

Releasing the book, writer Dr. Banjagere Jayaprakash opined that Kannada language cannot be strengthened through Sahitya Sammelanas and emotional speeches. He lauded Hampana (H.P. Nagarajaiah) and Kamala Hampana couple for their great contribution to literary field.

He contended that the autobiography is a true life history of Kamala throwing light on upheavals experienced by her in society.

The first copy of the autobiography was presented by Kamala Hampana to Scholar Dr. T.V. Venkatachala Shastry. Writer Prof. G.H. Nayak presided. Critic M.H. Krishnaiah, writer Dr. H.P. Nagarajaiah, District Kannada Sahitya Parishat  President Dr. Y.D. Rajanna, Poet Dr. Jayappa Honnali and others were present.
