Bhagandeshwara Temple closed for devotees till Mar. 30

With an employee of the famed Bhagandeshwara Temple at Bhagamandala in Madikeri taluk of Kodagu district testing positive for COVID-19, the Deputy Commissioner Charulata Somal has banned entry of devotees to the temple till Mar. 30 as a safety measure.

A staff attached to the Music band of the Temple and his parents were found COVID-19 positive on Thursday, following which all other 31 employees of the Temple were tested for the Virus. However, all of them tested negative, it is learnt. But the DC, as a precautionary measure, has banned entry of devotees to the Temple till Mar. 30, taking into consideration the health and safety of devotees.
