Bhagavad Gita recitation contest on Dec. 22

Divyadwani Sampada has organised the 23rd Bhagavad Gita recitation contest for students on Dec. 22 at 10 am. The students participating in nursery category will have to recite slokas 46 to 50 from chapter 2; slokas 1 to 8 from chapter 6 for primary; slokas 1 to 8 from chapter 8 for higher primary; slokas 1 to 8 from chapter 11 (with meaning) for high school students and slokas 20 to 28 from chapter 17 (with meaning of any one sloka asked by the judges) for College and Sanskrit students. Two participants from each school will be allowed to take part in each category and prizes will be given to winners of first three places. The organisers will also felicitate Gamaka Vidwan K. Ramachandra on the occasion. Entry is free for the contest, which will be held at Divyadwani Sampada, ‘Kashyapa,’ MIG-21 (OYHS), Hebbal I Stage, Lakshmikanthanagar, Mysuru.
