Mysore/Mysuru: Nadavidyalaya — Academy of Music and Dance, Mysuru, has organised Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of V.R. Nikitha, disciple of Vidu. Mithra Naveen at Jaganmohan Palace in city on June 21 at 5.30 pm.

R. Vasudev Bhat, President, Vijaya Vittala Educational Institutions, Mysuru, Vidu. Shubha Dhananjay, renowned dancer and President of Karnataka Sangeetha Nritya Academy, Bengaluru, Dr. Vaman Rao Bapat, renowned Paediatrician and senior functionary, RSS, Mysuru, will be the guests of honour.

Guru Vidu. Mithra Naveen will be felicitated in Guru Vandana. Programme direction, choreography, natuvanga will be by Vidu. Mithra Naveen. Vid. Naveen M.S. Andagar on vocal, Vid. Mahesh Swamy, Bengaluru, on flute and Vid. G.S. Nagraj, Bengaluru, on mridanga will accompany Nikitha for her maiden solo dance performance. Dr. Bhuvaneshwari, Mysuru, will compere.

Profile: V.R. Nikitha has been learning dance in Nadavidyalaya, Hebbal, Mysuru, for past 10 years and continues to learn till date. Fuelled by her passion for dance, she was encouraged by her parents, K.G. Venkatraman and B. Ramadevi.
