Mysuru: The Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of Vidu. M.S. Shruthi Gokul, disciple of Vidu. T.S. Sreelakshmi Kumar, Director of Sri Umamaheshwara Nrutya Kalakshetra Trust, Mysuru, has been organised at Kalamandira in city on June 9 at 6 pm.
Pramathi Hillview Academy Secretary H.V. Rajeev will inaugurate. Lyricist from K.R. Pet Ballenhally Manjunath and VASP Theatre-Bengaluru Director S. Vinay will be the guests of honour. Nrithyagiri Director Vidu. Kripa Phadke will preside.

Artiste’s Profile
Natya Vidushi M.S. Shruthi Gokul, daughter of Vijayalakshmi and late N. Subramanya, is a multifaceted artiste. Her parents have taken keen interest not only in nurturing her innate talent of classical arts but also moulding her into a perfect human being.
She has been under the tutelage of Guru Sreelakshmi Kumar since the age of seven. As a promising performer, she has portrayed lead roles in a number of dance ballets like ‘Gita Saara’, ‘Shivathatva Natya Vaibhava’, ‘Sutturu Divya Darshana’, ‘Kolura Kodagusu,’ ‘Hanuman Chalisa’, ‘Dwadasha Jyothirlinga’ etc.
She has presented her dance performances during prestigious occasions like Mysuru Dasara, Ganapathi Utsava, Shivarathri Utsava, Datta Jayanti and many more in and around Karnataka, Hyderabad, Ooty, Suttur, Kanakapura, branches of Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashrama and branches of JSS Institutions.
A Software Engineer, Shruthi is keen on taking up dance as her profession with immense encouragement from her family.
