Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of S. Apoorva tomorrow

Mysuru: Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of S. Apoorva, disciple of Vidu. Kripa Phadke, will be held at Jaganmohan Palace in city on Sept. 3 at 6 pm under the aegis of Nrityagiri Academy of Performing Arts & Research Centre, Mysuru. She will be accompanied by Guru Vidu. Kripa Phadke (natuvanga), Vidu. Rajeshwari Pundit (vocal), Vid. H.L. Shivashankaraswamy (mridanga) and Vid. Rakesh Sudhir (flute).

Nandini Eswer, Director, Raasavrinda, Mysuru, will be the guest of honour. Dr. N. Someshwar, Quiz Master, That Antha Heli of DD Chandana, Bengaluru, Hariprakash Konemane, Chief Editor – Vijayavani,  will be the chief guests.

Profile: Apoorva, daughter of Poornima and S. Suresh, residents of Saraswathipuram, started her dance schooling at the age of seven under Vidu. Bharati Sameer; later on in Ganabharathi, under Vidu. Nagashree Phaneendrakumar and presently under Natya Vidushi Kripa Phadke from past 10 years.

She has completed her Junior and Senior grade of Bharatanatyam exams conducted by KSEEB. Apoorva is also a dedicated disciple of Karnatak music, receiving training under Vidu. Bhagyalakshmi and has completed her Junior grade. Apoorva has completed her primary and high school education in Gnanaganga Vidyapeeta and PUC in MMK&SDM College, then finished her Graduation in JSS College for Women.

Apoorva has participated in many prestigious programmes like Mysuru Dasara, Janapada Jaatre, Suttur Jaatre, Nritya Saptaha, etc. She has actively participated in presentations of Nrityagiri, such as Vande Mataram, Madagada Kenchavva, Rajashri Nalwadi, Navadurga Vaibhava, Bhagavad Gita etc, and also preformed in Delhi with the team. She has also bagged many awards.
