Mysore/Mysuru: Nruthyathi Kalaashaale, Mysuru, has organised Bharatanatyam Rangavidhipraveshika of Dr. K. Poornima, Dr. Prarthana Y. Gowda and Vandana Y. Gowda, disciples of Guru Anusha Varun at Jagannatha Centre for Art and Culture (JCAC) in Vijayanagar, Mysuru, on Nov. 30 at 4.30 pm.
Marking the culmination of an 18-year-long journey filled with dedication, discipline and unwavering passion, this milestone holds profound emotional significance for the family. It presents a rare and heartwarming mother-daughters trio performance, a beautiful confluence of shared dreams, artistic commitment and the legacy of dance passed lovingly across generations.
Dr. K. Poornima, an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, has gracefully balanced her demanding profession with her devotion to Bharatanatyam. She is married to Dr. T. Yathiraju, an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Shakthi Hill View and Aarya Hospitals, Mysuru, whose constant encouragement has supported this inspiring artistic journey.
Their elder daughter, Dr. Prarthana Gowda, is presently pursuing her medical internship at JSS Medical College, Mysuru, while continuing her deep passion for the classical art form.
Their younger daughter, Vandana Gowda, is currently in her first year MBBS programme at JSS Medical College, Mysuru, bringing vibrant enthusiasm and youthful grace to this trio.
Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji and Adichunchanagiri Seer Dr. Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji will grace the occasion.
Distinguished Gurus Karnataka Kalathilaka Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy, internationally renowned Bharatanatyam virtuoso and Guru; Gayana Gandharva Dr. R.S. Nandakumar, renowned musician and musicologist; Natyacharya Vid. R. Kannan, senior Natya Guru of Karnataka; Guru K. Sandesh Bhargav, eminent Bharatanatyam artiste and Vice-President, Business Excellence & Transformation, Kaynes Technology, will be present.
Natyacharya Prof. K. Ramamurthy Rao, Director, Noopura Kalavidaru Cultural Trust, Mysuru, will be the guest of honour.
