Bike catches fire, rider unhurt

Mysuru: In a rather weird incident, a bike caught fire as soon as it was started and was gutted at Karakanahalli in Yelwal Hobli yesterday. The rider had a providential escape.

The rider Manju, a resident of Hosakote was said to be going to Yelwal on his bike. Near Karakanahalli, he stopped the bike for a while and when restarted, the bike caught fire. Immediately, Manju managed to jump from the bike and escaped unhurt.
