Bike hits tree, two killed, two injured

Nanjangud: Two persons were killed and two injured when the bike they were riding on allegedly hit a tree near Shani temple near Shiramalli in the taluk on Thursday night.

The deceased have been identified as Raju (23) and Nagendra (24) of Shiramalli. The two injured Bharat Kumar, 19 of Shiramalli and Kumar of Nitre village in Gundlupet taluk have been admitted to Nanjangud Government Hospital and NIMHANS, Bengaluru respectively.

The Bajaj Pulsar bike (KA-10 W0220) was reportedly ridden by Raju with three others on pillion.

Nanjangud Traffic Police have registered the case. The bodies of the deceased were handed over to their family after post-mortem.
