Two bikes worth about Rs.2.2 lakh recovered

Mysuru: The City Crime Branch Police on June 22 have arrested three persons on charges of lifting two-wheelers in city and have recovered two bikes from them. The arrested are 19-year-old Ramesh Kumar, 19-year-old Chethan and 20-year-old Shivaprashanth, all residents of Kanakapura village in Ramanagaram district.

During interrogation, the accused are said to have confessed of lifting the bikes at Kanakapura and Malavalli along with their accomplice Sudeep. Based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered one Royal Enfield bike and one Apache RTR 180 bike worth about Rs.2.2 lakh from them.

DCP M. Muthuraj and CCB ACP B.R. Lingappa supervised CCB Inspector C. Kiran Kumar, Siddarthanagar Traffic Inspector Aruna Kumari, CCB ASI Chandregowda and staff Ramaswamy, P.N. Lakshmikanth, M.R. Ganesh, C. Chikkanna, Shivaraju, Yakub Shariff, Asgar Khan, Rajendra, Niranjan, Chandrashekar and  Chamundamma, in the nabbing and recovery operation, according to a press release from the PRO, City Police Commissioner’s Office, Mysuru.
