Bike lifters held, 4 bikes recovered

Mysuru: Saraswathipuram Police, on July 27, have taken two persons into their custody, who were riding a two-wheeler without registration plate near Taralabalu Educational Institutions in T.K. Layout here besides failing to produce relevant documents when asked by the cops.

The two persons have been identified as Narayana of T.K. Layout and Ravi of Hebbal. The duo has a case of robbery already registered against them at Saraswathipuram Police Station.

During interrogation, the duo are said to have confessed of stealing the two-wheeler following which they were arrested. When they were interrogated further, they have confessed of lifting two bikes in Saraswathipuram Police limits, one bike each in Kuvempunagar and Nanjangud Police limits.

Based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered four bikes worth about Rs. 1.5 lakh from them.

The accused have been remanded to judicial custody, said Saraswathipuram Inspector Nagegowda.
