Bike rally held to create voting awareness

Mysore/Mysuru: With just a few hours left for the voting process to begin for the Lok Sabha elections tomorrow, the members of SVEEP Committee in Nanjangud, falling under the Chamarajanagar (SC) Lok Sabha Constituency held a bike rally to create awareness among the voters to participate in the festival of democracy by casting their franchise mandatorily tomorrow (Apr. 26).

Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Returning Officer and ZP Deputy Secretary (Development) Jagannath Murthy stated that all eligible voters aged above 18 years must cast their franchise compulsorily as it was a Constitutional provision given to them.  The officials of various Village Panchayats and Taluk Panchayats holding placards took part in the rally which passed through main thoroughfares of the town including Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Circle, Srikanteshwara Temple, M.G. Road, Market Road and Deveerammanahalli Gate. Executive Officer Poornima, Assistant Director Shivakumar and others were present.
