Bike rams into retaining wall of lake; rider killed

Mysuru: A bike rider was killed on-the-spot after he reportedly rammed the bike into the retaining wall of Mandakalli Lake on Mysuru-Nanjangud Road yesterday. The deceased is Mahendra (26), a resident of Kaveripura near T. Narasipur and an employee of a private firm at Nanjangud.

On Tuesday night, Mahendra was proceeding on a new Bajaj Pulsar bike (yet to be registered) towards Mysuru when he reportedly lost control of the bike near Mandakalli Lake and rammed the bike into the lake’s retaining wall resulting in Mahendra sustaining serious injuries and breathing his last at the spot.

Mysuru South Sub-Inspector Jayaprakash and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary in Mysuru besides registering a case.
