Bike rider killed in scooter-bike collision

Mysore/Mysuru: A two-wheeler rider, who was seriously injured in a head-on collision between a scooter and a bike on Tuesday, succumbed at a private hospital in the midnight.

The deceased is Rajesh (31), a resident of Bokkahalli in Nanjangud taluk. Rajesh, who had been to Yandalli to visit his wife, was on his way to Mysuru along with his sister-in-law’s son Sachin on his bike, when a scooter collided head-on with his bike near Ayarahalli.

Rajesh, who fell from his bike, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a private hospital in Mysuru where he succumbed to his injuries at about 11.30 pm on Tuesday.

Varuna Police have registered a case in this regard.
