Mysuru:  Hundreds of BJP activists of the District Unit, as part of the nationwide protest, staged a protest against Congress Party over the Rafale deal near Gandhi Square in city this morning.

They shouted slogans against AICC President Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders for misleading the people over the Rafale Jet Fighter deal issue despite the Supreme Court giving  clean chit over this issue.

The protesters urged the Congress leaders to stop making baseless allegations. They said that the Union Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi had implemented various development works across the nation, strengthened the foreign relations and brought economic and social reforms through GST, demonetisation and other programmes.

They alleged that the Congress leaders were involved in maligning the image of PM  Modi unable to digest his popularity among youths and others in the country.             

BJP State Secretary M. Rajendra, General Secretary Rajesh, Murali, Prabhakar Shinde, various Block Presidents and party workers took part in the protest.
