BJP complains about fake voters in NR Constituency

May 12, 2018

Mysuru, May 12- Alleging that there were thousands of fake voters in Narasimharaja (NR) Constituency, BJP District Secretary Umesh Kumar has lodged a complaint with the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abhiram G. Sankar, who is also the District Electoral Officer, urging him to initiate action in this regard.

Citing many instances of inclusion of fake voters in the electoral rolls, especially in booth numbers 18 and 32 in MCC Ward No. 46, Umesh Kumar said that fake voters have been included in the list after giving false addresses and even that of vacant sites.

Accusing the officials of laxity in screening the applications for inclusion of names in the NR electoral rolls, he urged the election authorities not to allow fake voters. Demanding a thorough scrutiny of electoral rolls and deletion of names of all fake voters, he urged the poll authorities to track down all those responsible for the irregularities and initiate legal action against them.
