BJP gives ticket to marginalised backward communities

Mysuru: The BJP this time seems to have become more sympathetic towards some of the backward communities who are asking for internal reservation in giving tickets to contest the forthcoming Corporation election.

For the first time, it has given ticket to a Bhovi community candidate, Uppara community, Madiwala community and Kodava community in spite of resistance from other major communities.

Thanks to Aravind Limbavali, BJP MLA, former Minister and now BJP State General Secretary, who refused to succumb to pressure groups and the domination of majority communities as in the past.

Many such aspirants from other political parties have also expressed their desire to contest but were unable to get ticket in contrast to the BJP, says BJP National Council Member B.P. Manjunath.
