BJP leader gets Gunman security

Mysuru:  As a fallout of the lethal attack on N.R. MLA Tanveer Sait, City Police have provided a Gunman as security cover for BJP Slum Morcha State Secretary and Hindu activist H.G. Giridhar, a resident of Kalyanagiri in city, with immediate effect.

Speaking to SOM, Giridhar, who is also the Founder of Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwaraswamy Temple at Kalyanagiri here, said that he had earlier worked for Hindu organisations such as Bajarang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishat, RSS and Hindu Jagaran Vedike and is currently with the BJP  holding the post of Slum Morcha State Secretary. Recalling that violence had broken out when the temple was being constructed (2001 to 2010) and during the Kumbhabisheka in 2012, he said that he has been provided the gunman from the past three days by the City Police as a security measure. Stating that the Police are on alert, Giridhar said that he has been following the instructions given by the Police regarding his safety and security.
