BJP workers to sow 50,000 seed balls at Chamundi Hill tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: As part of the birth anniversary of Syama Prasad Mukherjee, one of the founding fathers of BJP, the Backward Classes Morcha of BJP, Karnataka Unit, has planned sowing 50,000 seed balls at Chamundi Hill in city tomorrow at 12.30 pm.

Disclosing this at a news conference at MDJA here this morning, Govindaraju, Vice-President, State BJP Backward Classes Morcha, said, Number of programmes had been chalked out in connection with Mukherjee’s birth anniversary including plantation of saplings. The Morcha activists have been planting saplings as well as sowing seed balls to promote the greenery. 

The first programme was held at Antargange Betta in Kolar District where 1.5 lakh seed balls were sown. Similar programme had been held elsewhere. In Mysuru, the seed balls will be sown at Chamundi Hill tomorrow. State BJP President Naveenkumar Kateel, State BJP Backward Classes Morcha President N. L. Narendra Babu, Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha and Co-operation and District-in-Charge Minister S. T. Somashekar are expected to participate. He further added that one lakh seed balls are prepared by the Morcha workers on Uttanahalli Ring Road. After Mysuru, 50,000 seed balls will be sown in Talawadi Hill in Chamarajanagar District.
