Mysuru: A Blind Walk, organised by the Rotary District 3181 and Project Vision, to create awareness on the importance of eye donation was held in city on Sunday.

The Blind Walk was flagged off by DC D. Randeep by blindfolding the participating students.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC regretted that though people were learning about the importance of eye donation, the number of eye donations was decreasing.

Stating that it was necessary to create more awareness in this regard, he said that the District Administration would extend its support for the unique cause.

The participants, carrying placards with messages on eyes donation, assembled in front of Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple near Mysore Palace and walked for about 1.5 kms passing through the Clock Tower, Gandhi Square, Old Bank Road and K.T. Street, before culminating at the starting point.

Rotarians Suresh Chengappa, Sumeeth, P.V. Ramadas, R. Venkatesh, Project Vision’s Swamy and others were present during the programme.
