Mysore/Mysuru: The bodies of two women of Mysuru, who were killed in a road accident near Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh, were brought to Mysuru on Friday night.
Three women were killed when the car they were travelling met with a road accident near Chittoor on Thursday, while the car driver Shivakumar, who sustained serious injuries, is being treated in a Chittoor Hospital. The women were returning to Mysuru after visiting Tirupati Temple.
The deceased women were identified as M.R. Jayalakshmi (65), a retired Nurse of Government Ayurveda Hospital of the city and a resident of Ramakrishnanagar I-Block, Sujatha, a close relative of Jayalakshmi and Vrunda, who resided near Jayalakshmi’s house. While the bodies of Jayalakshmi and Sujatha were brought to Mysuru, the body of Vrunda was sent to her native place in Udupi district, it is learnt.
The last rites of M.R. Jayalakshmi and Sujatha would be conducted today in Mysuru, according to family sources.
