Body of youth drowned in Thonnur Lake traced

Pandavapura: The body of a youth, who got drowned at Thonnur Lake on Jan. 31, has been traced and fished out on Wednesday (Feb. 3).

The deceased youth is Mohammed Tanzeem Hussain (19), son of Mohammed Zakir Hussain of Mandi Mohalla in city.

Tanzeem on Jan. 31 had been to Thonnur Lake in Panadavapura taluk along with his friends and when he ventured into the water for a swim, he reportedly got drowned. 

Though the Police and Fire & Emergency Services personnel had launched a search operation to trace and fish out the body, they were unable to trace the body and finally, the body was traced yesterday and fished out.

The body was shifted to Pandavapura Government Hospital, where post-mortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the family members.

Jurisdictional Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
