Bogadi Road crying for attention

May 3, 2019

Sir,

Though MCC has taken up the widening of Bogadi Road from the existing two lanes to four lanes during the last year from Bogadi Ring Road to Viswamanava Double Road, a portion between AIISH Circle and Panchavati campus of AIISH was left unfinished.

This part of the road has  now become unmotorable with lot many potholes and sand / dust occupying half of the road (see photos).

Street lighting is also very poor here (especially at the culvert near Panchavti campus). At present the road work is almost halted. Earlier it was announced that Bogadi Road widening will be completed by Dasara – 2018. Next Dasara is also approaching fast in another five months.

For the safety of the road users, it is requested that at least the existing road may be made motorable till the work on widening is continued by filling the potholes and removing sand deposits.
