Book Exhibition marks National Library week

Mysuru: Marking National Library Week, a book exhibition was organised by City Central Library at its premises here yesterday. The expo was inaugurated by Ramakrishna Vidyalaya Librarian Nagesh and Library Committee Members Krishnamurthy & Aruna.

Speaking on the occasion, Nagesh, taking a clue from Higginbothams  Book Store in Chennai, opined that a library should provide the best service to a reader in minimum time.

Briefing on the event, M. Parvathy of Department of Public Libraries, said that the National Library Week was being observed every year from  Nov. 14 to 20 throughout the State under the Department of Public Libraries which features book exhibitions.

She added that the event aimed at creating awareness among people on the habit of reading. Library Assistant G. Vijay Nag and others were present.
