Borrowing loans is Siddu Govt’s only achievement: MLA C.T. Ravi

Mysuru: “The Congress Government must own the responsibility of killing 25 BJP and Sangh Parivar activists and it can claim it as ‘achievement’,” said BJP MLA C.T. Ravi here yesterday.

He was speaking to media persons prior to the BJP executive meeting at a private hall at Nazarbad in city.  He said that the Siddharamaiah’s government’s only achievement is borrowing loans and drowing people under debt.

Continuing, he said that the mounting corruption, harassment of Dalits and rampant suicide of farmers were the living testimony of the wrong doings of the State Government for which Chief Minister Siddharamaiah should take total responsibility.

“The Congress government in the state is definitely a ‘Kaurava’ government and Siddharamaiah is ‘Duryodhana’, its head,” Ravi quipped. “The CM has said that the upcoming Assembly poll in the State is Kurukshetra war wherein Congress is the Pandavas side and BJP is the Kaurava side. But the Congress government is tainted with corruption, murders, rapes and communal clashes. How can it be the Pandava side?” he questioned.

“Lord Krishna is on the side that is Pandava. You have no mind to see Udupi Sri Krishna. You behave like enemies of Krishna. How can you be Pandavas?” Ravi asked Siddharamaiah. He appealed people to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his vision to build a New India.

When media persons asked about the silence of BJP over Mahadayi River water sharing issue, Ravi said that Goa CM Manohar Parrikar had agreed to release two TMC water for drinking purposes. However, he alleged that internal squabble among legislators in Goa was responsible for dragging the Mahadayi issue which should be again resolved by the Congress only.

Speaking about the issue of BJP tickets for Assembly polls, Ravi said that an internal assessment survey of possible candidates has already been done and only the best would be chosen. Referring to party-hoppers, he said that the BJP is never bothered about who comes in and who goes out.

Former Minister S.A. Ramdas, City BJP President B.H. Manjunath, Corporator Nandeesh Preetham, leaders H.V. Rajeev, former MUDA Chairmen C. Basavegowda and K.R. Mohan Kumar and others were present.
