Boy found, housed in Bapuji Children’s Home

Mysuru: Lashkar Police, on Apr. 16 at about 8.30 pm, have found a boy in KSRTC Bus Stand and handed him over to the Children Special Unit who in turn has handed over the boy to Bapuji Children’s Home in Gokulam here for care-taking.

The boy, who is said to be about 5 years, is 3.3 ft. tall, weighs 15 kgs, has old wound marks on his nose, wears a steel bangle on his right hand and speaks Kannada.

When the staff of the Children’s Home asked about his whereabouts, the boy is said to have revealed his name as Manju of Chilkunda, his father’s name as Babu, mother’s name as Gowri and also told that his drunk grandfather had left him in the bus stand. Manju also told the staff that his father works in a scrap yard in Periyapatna.

The parents or guardians of Manju are urged to contact Nanda Prasad, Manager of Bapuji Children’s Home, on Mob: 99453-73076.
