Boy kidnapped in Nanjangud escapes from abductors, returns home

Nanjangud: A 11-year-old boy has alleged that he was abducted, but managed to escape from his abductors and returned home.

According to the boy, a resident of Devirammanahalli Layout in Nanjangud, he was playing in front of his house on Sunday, when a group of six miscreants, who came in a car, kidnapped him besides stating that they (miscreants) sprayed some medicine which rendered him unconscious.

The boy further stated that when he regained conscious, he was in the car which was parked at the parking lot of Srikanteshwara Swamy Temple and also found two miscreants sitting in the front seat of the car. The boy further stated that he somehow managed to get out of the car and ran to his house.

When the boy’s parents enquired him after finding blood stains on his face and hands, the boy informed them that he was kidnapped and he escaped from them and came home.

Nanjangud Rural Police, who visited the boy’s house have collected information from him. 

The boy being kidnapped by miscreants in a car from a busy area and stopping the car at the temple’s parking lot has given rise to suspicion.

Meanwhile, boy’s father Parashuram has lodged a complaint with Nanjangud Rural Police, who have registered a case and based on the instruction from Superintendent of Police (SP) C.B. Ryshyanth, Nanjangud Rural Sub-Inspector Puneeth, ASI Srinivas and staff are investigating.
